A DANGEROUS METHOD
(France, Ireland, UK, Germany, Canada)
Directed by: David Cronenberg
Cronenberg’s account on the hierarchy of psycho analysts in Vienna which was mostly Jewish and ruled by Freud as it’s head director.
With good performances from Vincent Cassel as Otto, Viggo Mortensen as Freud, and Michael Fassbender as Jung,
I’m just not quite sure about Kiera Knightley portraying the Russian Sabina Speilrein…
Compellingly drawn is the battle between desire and order, nature and science, mysticism and rationalism.
The film takes us to an angle of a stylish era in Europe where, beauty, the academe, romance, were all in its place.
